Seaswees with Pacific Whale Foundation

Pacific Whale Foundation invites preschoolers and their parents or caregivers to participate in the SeaWees program, on Wednesdays mornings, August through November. The fun and educational classes, which are open to children ages 3-5 and an accompanying adult, takes place at Pacific Whale Foundation’s Discovery Center at The Harbor Shops at Ma’alaea (next to Maui Ocean Center).

Participants may sign up for single classes or all five classes in each session.

Maui Marathon & Half Marathon

The Maui Marathon is a point to point course from Kahului to Kaanapali. It is recogonized as one of the most scenic marathons in North America with most of the course running within 50 feet of the Pacific Ocean. The Maui Half Marathon is out and back from Whalers Village in Kaanapali. This flat and fast course passes through Lahaina Towne. Walkers are welcome in all events. The Front Street Mile is Sept. 13, as is the Maui Tacos 5K with all ages welcome. Awards are given in all age groups. More info at www.mauimarathon.com

Hawaii Healing Garden Festival - 2008 Maui

Maui County Fair - 86th Annual

Kapalua LPGA Classic

This inaugural full-field tournament is the third LPGA Tour event in Hawaii and it takes place on the newly renovated Bay Course in Kapalua Resort. The scenic venue will be accompanied by a $1.5 million purse.

Stars of ladies professional golf who will play 72 holes in this tournament include Morgan Pressel, the youngest LPGA golfer to win a major tournament and the resort's official LPGA touring professional. Practice rounds and a Pro-Am open.

Aloha Team Classic - 2008

Beyond the Rainbow Foundation, an all volunteer organization focused on "Helping Maui's youth realize the promise of their future!", hosts this four day event in October which includes two evening activities, a three day amateur golf tourney on some of Maui's greatest courses (including Kahili Golf Course, Kaanapali Golf Resort's Royal Course - home to the 2008 Senior Skins game in February and Kapalua Resort's Plantation Course - home to the Mercede-Benz Championship)as well as breakfast and lunch each day of the tournament. We have lots of prizes and welcome gifts as well as awards for each day's play as well as for the three day event.

The tournament is an all amateur event with full handicaps. Two person teams will play different formats each day that will allow each player to enjoy the full experience of playing each course. (no scramble formats will be played) If you do not have a teammate be sure to let us know as we have a number of individuals looking for teammates and will be glad to match you up.
